Description:
The KOI-961 system contains three of the smallest extrasolar planets yet discovered; all of them are smaller in size than the Earth. The planetary system was found as a result of the Kepler mission. All the three of the known planets in this system orbit extremely closely to their red dwarf sun. They are probably tidally locked, stripped of any substantial atmospheres, and too hot for life as we know it.
