Photo of Sea ice and sediment visible in Nunavut, Canada.

Description:
June 30, 2010 - Sea ice and sediment visible in Nunavut, Canada. The Foxe Basin separates Baffin Island (right) from Nunavut Canada (left) and is separated from the Hudson Bay by Foxe Channel (bottom). Toward the middle right of the Basin is Prince Charles Island. The green coloration in the water is likely due to sediment but could also be due to the presence of phytoplankton.
